Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your stay at Loinnir Cabins, the amount refunded will depend on how far in advance of your arrival you cancel.

This Cancellation Policy forms part of our Booking Terms & Conditions.

If You Cancel Your Booking

More than 8 weeks before arrival

If you cancel more than 8 weeks before your scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive a credit for the same value to use towards a future stay at Loinnir Cabins.

Between 4 and 8 weeks before arrival

If you cancel more than 4 weeks but no more than 8 weeks before your scheduled arrival date, we will retain 25% of the total Booking Fee and refund the remaining 75% of the Booking Fee paid.

The refund will normally be made to the original payment method within 14 working days.

Alternatively, you may choose to receive a credit for 100% of the total Booking Fee paid, which can be used towards a future stay at Loinnir Cabins.

4 weeks or less before arrival

If you cancel 4 weeks or less before your scheduled arrival date, the full Booking Fee will normally be retained and no refund will be due.

However, if we are able to rebook the cancelled dates with another guest, we will offer you a credit based on the amount we actually recover from the replacement booking.

Any such credit may be reduced to reflect:

• any difference between the original booking price and the amount recovered from the replacement booking; and
• reasonable administration costs associated with rebooking the dates.

We will make reasonable efforts to rebook cancelled dates where possible, but we do not guarantee that the dates will be resold.

Any refund or credit remains subject to applicable law and the rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

No-Show

If you do not arrive on your scheduled arrival date and have not contacted us to make alternative arrangements, this will be treated as a cancellation within 4 weeks of arrival.

In these circumstances, the full Booking Fee will normally be retained and no refund will be due.

If you know that you will be arriving late or are unable to travel as planned, please contact us as soon as possible.

Credit Notes

Where a credit is offered under this Cancellation Policy, the following conditions apply:

• the credit is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued;
• it may be used towards a future booking at Loinnir Cabins;
• the credit is personal to the original guest and cannot be transferred to another person;
• the credit cannot be exchanged for cash; and
• any unused balance will remain subject to the terms and expiry date of the credit.

A credit may be subject to the availability and pricing applicable when the new booking is made.

How to Cancel

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Your cancellation will take effect from the date we receive your written cancellation request.

We recommend that you keep a copy of your cancellation email for your records.

We cannot guarantee that a cancellation communicated only by telephone, social media message or another informal method will be processed unless we subsequently confirm it in writing.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance when booking your stay, including cover for cancellation and circumstances that may prevent you from travelling.

Travel insurance can provide protection against certain unexpected events, depending on the policy you purchase.

It is your responsibility to check that your insurance provides the level of cancellation cover you require.

If We Need to Cancel Your Booking

In the unusual event that Lough Conn Accommodation Limited needs to cancel a confirmed booking before your arrival, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where we cancel because we are unable to provide the accommodation, we will provide a full refund of the amounts you have paid for the affected booking, subject to any rights or remedies that apply under applicable law.

We will not be responsible for any additional costs you incur outside the booking with us.

This page is intended as a straightforward summary of our cancellation arrangements.

Your booking is governed by the full Booking Terms & Conditions that apply to your reservation. If there is any inconsistency between this Cancellation Policy and the Booking Terms & Conditions, the Booking Terms & Conditions will take precedence.

Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer rights or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Irish or applicable European law.
